New Music: Melanie Fiona – ‘Cold Piece’

Melanie Fiona channels her emotions into her new song “Cold Piece,” the first taste off her upcoming third album. On the raw record, the Canadian songbird shares her pain over a rough breakup.

“I just can’t believe how someone could be such a cold piece of work at heart,” sings a brokenhearted Melanie, who melts the track with her sultry vocals.

She will open for Beyoncé tonight during the first show of her U.S. tour at L.A.’s Staples Center.

Mariah Carey is going bilingual. The pop icon and Miguel cross over into the international market with “#Hermosa,” the Spanglish remix to their hit “#Beautiful.”

The Spanglish version marks the second of five planned remixes to “#Beautiful.” Earlier this week, Mariah released a remix with A$AP Rocky and is planing a hip-hop remix and dance mixes.
This is not Mariah’s first time singing in Spanish. She previously recorded versions of her hits “Hero” and “My All” for her Spanish-speaking Lambs.

Jay-Z Previews New Song ‘Oceans’ Featuring Frank Ocean

The countdown is on to Magna Carta Holy Grail. With exactly one week to go, Jay-Z continues to tease with more goodies. After revealing the lyrics to the Justin Timberlake-assisted “Holy Grail” earlier in the week, HipHop-N-More has unearthed the lyrics to “Oceans” featuring Frank Ocean.

Jay explains the meaning behind the piano-driven song. “It sounds like a celebration of where we are now on some big yacht, throwing champagne in the water,” he tells Rick Rubin. “But the undertow of the thing is that this is the same water that brought us here originally as slaves, so it has this old duality and how we are rewriting history.”

Video: Bridget Kelly f/ Kendrick Lamar – ‘Street Dreamin’

Bridget Kelly rides out with Kendrick Lamar in the street-chic video for her single “Street Dreamin.” While cruising through the streets, one special guy catches Bridget’s eye. She meets up with her friends, while K-Dot finds his own leading lady to kick it with.

The two shot the Clifton Bell-directed clip near the railroad tracks in Greensboro, North Carolina, while Kendrick was on tour.

The Shea Taylor-produced song will appear on Bridget’s upcoming debut, along with contributions from Jerry Wonda, Ne-Yo, and The-Dream.
