From the heavens comes Gucci Mane’s holy cover for Trap God 2, hosted by DJ Scream. The Brick Squad rapper sits in a thrown in his palace in the sky, dressed in a white robe with his arms stretched out. There are Hebrew letters on the side and stacks of money piled up behind him. The follow-up to his 2012 mixtape Trap God arrives on Feburrrrary 12.

Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, R. Kelly, Snoop Dogg, & The Jacksons Join BET Experience

BET is turning the BET Awards into a weekend-long celebration of music. The three-day extravaganza (June 28-30) includes performances from Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, R. Kelly, Snoop Dogg, The Jacksons, and more.


Beyoncé kicks off the inaugural “BET Experience at L.A. Live” when “The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour” comes to the Staples Center on Friday, June 28. Later in the evening, Erykah Badu will play an intimate show across the street at Club Nokia.

The following day, Snoop Lion aka Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Miguel, and SchoolBoy Q will bring some West Coast flavor to Staples, while The Roots throw a late-night jam session at Club Nokia.
A cast of R&B veterans will round out Sunday’s bill with R. Kelly, New Edition, and The Jacksons headlining a show at Staples. Earlier in the day, gospel superstar Kirk Franklin will hold Sunday service with a show at Club Nokia.

The festivities will commence with the BET Awards ’13 on July 1, which this year move from the Shrine Auditorium to the Nokia Theatre.
Tickets for individual shows go on sale February 11 or you can purchase a package for the whole weekend starting at $1,000.

New Music: Waka Flocka Flame f/ Lil Wayne – ‘Stay Hood’

Waka and Wayne take it back to the trap on “Stay Hood,” the first release from Waka’s upcoming mixtape DuFlocka Rant 2, dropping tomorrow. Waka pledges his allegiance to the ‘hood on the Lex Luger-produced track (“I’ma stay hood till the day that I die”), while Weezy threatens to beat your ass with his skateboard.
