Obama in Tanzania, sees Africa as next global economic success

    7 billion and all you get is a lousy street named after you? I'll give you $50.00 if you keep him. I would offer more but that's all WE Americans can really spare.
     





    • Remember the episode of Seinfeld where Kramer adopts a highway? He got it named after him, all he had to do was pick up litter. And he painted over the divider lines in the highway to make extra wide, luxurious lanes. Remember?

        Hmmm...we've been providing free aid/support for a long time to Africa and now they decide to name a street after our President. I'm sure that has NOTHING to do with him being part black :-\

              Below please review another huge leak in our economy! This is a big part of why the illegals come here only wanting to "work" and send billions of dollars home! Many only want green cards because they WANT to remain Mexican citizens! And the amounts are rising, not falling!

              Even more impressive, Mexico's central bank reported that the amount of cash received by such transfers increased by 15.32 percent between April and May and this year."
              "Remittances, such as Western Union Moneygrams from the United States represent the second largest source of income for Mexico. In 2009, Mexican workers, mostly illegal aliens, sent home $21.2 billion in such transfers.
              The transfers are second only to Mexico’s oil industry in the amount of revenue produced, which is one of the chief reasons the Mexican government has no interest in working with U.S. authorities to police our common border.
              Furthermore, according to the Inter-American Development Bank, all of Latin America received $69.2 billion in remittances from the U.S. in 2009 alone.
              Thus, dispelling the myth that illegal aliens contribute a great deal to our economy. The fact is that the overwhelming amount of the wages earned by illegal aliens is not spent in this country, but simply sent back home.

      AvatarNot to cast doubt, but a cursory glance at relevant web information shows Bush AT a hospital today ... where's documentation that he's "helping rebuild" the hospital??
      Might be true ... or there might be as much evidence for this as there was to invade Iraq.

          @ gi joe Those "healthcare clinics" are hazardous to the health of the patients! Unqualified staffing, lack of sterile equipment being very similar to the Gosnell clinic in Chicago!
          And if a woman can't decide prior to 20 weeks to have an abortion she should give it up for adoption, but not murder it. And if it is a medical reason this bill encompasses that!

    Avatarwait... so now unconditional aid is somehow imperial imposition? Listen I disagreed with basically everything GW Bush did but I'll still credit him with being generous to Africa. The US has done many wrongs in the past but handing out free developmental aid is not one of them.

    AvatarIts a nice street. Government housing on one side, Abortion clinics on the other. The speed limit is 200kph as to prevent drive-by shootings. All the phones on the block are just wired into the president's office black-box. That eliminates the need for agency monitoring. Wifi in the area is provided by the four Starbucks, Churches Chicken, KFC, and McDonalds on the street. Every house on the street has a sign that reads, "Slow Children Playing ahead."
    At the end of his visit, he insisted on seeing Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru's home out in the evaporator district. The secret service said, "Sorry sir, we haven't been able to vet out the local Tusken raiders yet, we need to avoid that part of the planet."
