New Music: Ariana Grande – ‘Baby I’

Ariana Grande has often been compared to Mariah Carey, and she once again proves worthy of the acclaim. The 20-year-old diva-in-training follows up her Mac Miller-assisted hit “The Way” with “Baby I.” The summertime record, written and produced by Babyface, Tony Dixon, and j.Que, features big vocals from the Nickelodeon star over a breezy beat.

The song was released shortly before midnight on iTunes and has already entered the top 20. Ariana’s debut is due September 3 on Universal Republic.
You can catch her performing live on “The Listening Sessions” tour, which kicks off August 13 in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Kid Cudi returns to rock on the WZRD-produced “Going to the Ceremony,” a new song he released via Twitter. The former G.O.O.D. Music rapper, who can be heard on Kanye West’s Yeezus, sings over a heavy guitar riff.

Charlie Wilson was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the BET Awards on Sunday. He received a star-studded tribute from India.Arie, Jamie Foxx, and Stevie Wonder, who covered his classics.
